“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
It was an especially gorgeous morning.
I wait for this weather all year.
Cool and sunny, with beautiful leaves on the trees. The goodness of God to create all of this struck me.
The fact that He gives this beauty equally to believers, as well as those who do not yet believe in Him is fitting!
It seems right that a God who is this lavish with his creation would make it available to all. The patience of God for those who are still lost fills me with hope for them. There is still this moment, this day. All is not lost.
“When I consider the heavens, the works of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?”
God could have created this world with food, shelter, and other things for our comfort, but without beauty. Instead, He gave us so much beauty in our world, it stuns us.
Sometimes we’re too busy or absorbed with problems to notice what is around us, and we miss out.
This week I’m thankful for God’s creation; that He gave us the ability to see it with our own eyes, to understand that it was He who created the heavens and the earth, for our enjoyment and belief.
“…since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
