The Dutch Rush

They're Dutch and Life's a Rush

Thankfully, if I ever forget that I have a blog, Facebook reminds me weekly that I haven’t been posting anything. They regularly let me know that I am basically a blogging failure. Facebook is so helpful.

These days I do most of my writing in my head and then I forget it all before I get to a computer. So, no blog posts.

We have been working on a new thing for the blog, which I am very excited about, but it’s a lot of work. And it isn’t finished yet. Hopefully soon! I will let you know as soon as it’s ready.

But mostly, this has been the year of moving. We have moved, and then…moved. And begun new things, and finished other things, and it’s just been crazy. There’s no good way to recap the year, other than to let you know that we are all alive, and older.

Here are a few pictures so you can see that, yes, we are as crazy as ever…

There are still just seven children in our family:

Unfortunately, a lot of our family pictures still turn out like this:

We continue to have fun learning about things:

This guy is still quite the hunk:

This usually happens as soon as I say “Hey, will you take a picture of me and Judah?” :

And, my oldest baby left for college. We all miss her. Badly. My youngest baby might never get over it. But boy, is she having a great time at school. So I guess we’ll be okay…

Many of you have checked in with us these last few months (to make sure we’re still alive, etc), and we appreciate you! We are alive and well, and BUSY!

Hopefully 2018 will be a really chilled out and peaceful year, full of free time to write blog posts…
