The Dutch Rush

They're Dutch and Life's a Rush

I hope all of you mothers have a wonderful weekend!

This post is very similar to the Valentine’s Day post, with the proper adjustments, so this will be brief:

We can’t forget that the way to have a wonderful Mother’s Day is to forget all about ourselves!

This little post is our reminder (myself included) to let our lives be about Jesus, and not at all about us.

Mother’s Day is a lovely thing for mothers to feel cared for and appreciated.

But personally, I wish it hadn’t been invented…because I get distracted by it. It distracts me from dying to myself, from putting others first, and from fixing my eyes on Jesus.

I’m tempted to forget that really, this is Jesus’ Day, and that I am only to take up my cross and follow Him.

So wherever we find ourselves this Mother’s Day, let us appreciate our family, let us continue to serve them, and keep our focus off of ourselves.

Then we can have a truly wonderful Mother’s Day.
